We are looking for a team of volunteers to form an agility group with the rescue dogs in our care.
We recently have acquired a field next to the Nestle factory and are now wanting to start agility training with our dogs. This will be a great way of burning our dogs energy, running through a variety of obstacles will challenge the dog’s mind and body. Involving the dogs at our centre will help strengthen their muscles, keep them fit, and increase endurance also improving their coordination. As a volunteer for this new programme you will be taken around various courses with a dog, and take them over hurdles, through weave poles and over A frames. You don’t need to have any prior experience in agility to take part as you will be taken through the basic foundation work with our training and behaviourist assistant Nick. We will be using reward based methods throughout and incorporating the importance of toy play and drive building in the sessions which will take place on Tuesdays, 2pm to 3pm. If you are interested in taking part in this new exciting activity please don’t hesitate to get in contact with the Animal Centre by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone us on 01422 365628
