The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & District Branch has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced delivery driver to join our retail team. You will be an integral part of the area retail team responsible for the delivery and collection of stock to customers and the movement of stock between our charity shops. This is an important role and is integral to our growth and development of the retail operation. You will be based at our Queens Road Charity shop and will deliver in the Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford postcode areas.

Key responsibilities

Movement of stock between our charity shops

Route planning

Collections and Deliveries as booked on the logistics board.

Maintaining an administration log.

Being responsible for ensuring vehicle is maintained within RSPCA policy and procedure.

Essential Qualifications, Education & Knowledge

Full clean driving license

Basic literacy, numeracy at a level to read and write messages, carry out simple calculations, instructions or maintain simple records.

Experience of long wheel base Transit type vans

Good customer service

Previous delivery experience

Experience of dealing with the general public

Desirable Skills and Experience

Driving experience multi drop deliveries

Experience of dealing with the general public

Sympathetic to the work and values of the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & District Branch

Remuneration

The hours of work are 37.5 over 5 days Monday to Saturday

Salary £17608

Holiday 20 days plus bank holidays
