Volunteer Fundraiser
Our Really Big ReFURb project is underway, and we urgently need your help! The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & Bradford branch is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Volunteer Fundraisers to join our dedicated team.
From cheering on runners at sponsored events, running stalls at dog shows, to brainstorming inspiring new ways to raise funds, your contribution will directly help us rescue and rehome animals in need, whilst developing your own skills.
As a Volunteer Fundraiser, you will play a vital part in generating income to sustain our vital work, and help us reach our £4million fundraising target that will help us make our Really Big ReFURb vision a reality! You will collaborate with our friendly fundraising team to bring exciting events and initiatives to life. If you enjoy chatting to people, experiencing new things, and inspiring people to donate to a life-changing cause, this volunteering role is for you.
The role involves:
· Events: Support the running of a variety of established events, including dog shows, market stalls, quiz nights, and sponsored walks. Plan new events, sell tickets and coordinate fundraising activities within your local community.
· Collections and stalls : Help coordinate and lead collections and stalls at local supermarkets, markets and other events, including the setup and takedown of equipment.
· Creativity: Love sport and want to organise a netball tournament? Will your local football team let you host a collection at their next match? Always wanted to run an auction or a wine and cheese night? Use your imagination and plan the next fundraiser for us – we are always open to new ideas and would love to help you bring your vision to life!
· Promotion: Use your communication skills to explain why our work needs support and spread the word about upcoming events through social media and your own local networks.
In return, you can expect:
· New skills – a fantastic opportunity to develop your communication and interpersonal skills, gain hands-on experience in planning and running events and more
· Make new connections and forge new friendships: Join a friendly, supportive team and meet new people who share your passion for animal welfare.
· Flexibility: A role that works for you, allowing you to contribute as much or as little time as your schedule allows.
· Community Impact: The pride of knowing that every pound you help raise goes directly toward making life better for animals in our region.
