Volunteer Rehoming Assistant

Availability Wednesdays/Fridays & alternate Saturdays

We have one position that has become available for a volunteer rehoming assistant.

We are looking for one volunteer who can assist our rehoming co Ordinator in finding loving, caring homes for the animals in our care.

This is a very rewarding position, as you can directly impact on the lives of the animals and improve their welfare.

As a volunteer you will be ensuring that our network of home visitors and fosterers are well coordinated and that rehoming records are kept accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities

· You will liaise with volunteers to arrange home visits for animals in our care.

· You will ensure that all home visitors are familiar with and follow the health & Safety guidelines.

· Liaise with fosterers to arrange temporary care away from the Animal Home

· Ensure that all animals offered for adoption have been assessed for their suitability for rehoming.

· Assist with write ups for individual animals once available for rehoming before publishing them on our website.

· Recruit new volunteer home visitors and fosterers.

· Be aware of the needs and requirements of all types of animals so that potential adopters are assessed by home visitors accordingly.

What we are looking for

· Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential.

· You will need to be comfortable with computers/paperwork and RSPCA policies & Procedures.

· Passion for working with animals and improving welfare.

· You MUST be aged 18 years or over.

· Be familiar with GDPR.

· Someone who is flexible and can offer an ongoing commitment.
