Star’s Before & After!

???? ??? ????????? ?????? ???
?? ????? ?? ??? ????? ?? ?? ????? ?????????,
????????? ?? ? ???? ?? ?????. ? Star was reported
by a member of the public who said: “We checked a
neighbour’s CCTV and it showed Star wandering from
the street into the garden in Bradford at around 4.30
am”

With a staggering 8 deep wounds in total, there’s no
question this loving and gentle boy needed immediate
emergency care. The RSPCA suspect that Star was a
victim of dog fighting and had been dumped in the
garden on death’s door, left to fend entirely for
himself.?

Star was brought to our Wade Street Animal Centre on
May 16th and our Animal Care Team have worked
tirelessly to provide Star with the round-the-clock care
(and TLC) that he so desperately needed.

We think the before and after photos speak for
themselves – but we’re so proud to say that he’s made
a truly amazing recovery and his bite wound injuries
have all completely healed! During his recovery though,
we noticed he was lame in his hind legs and displayed
an odd gait. Making sure we’re doing all we possibly
can to get Star back to full health, we requested further
x-rays, which have sadly shown he has a ruptured
cruciate and hip dysplasia….poor little Star.

We’re now currently working on what level of pain
relief he can tolerate on a regular basis – but he’s doing
very well in our care, so much better than when he
first arrived with us and will be available for rehoming
from tomorrow! ?

It’s heartbreaking to think of what this poor boy has
been through before arriving in our care – but we’re
looking to the future now and Star’s is shining brightly!
We’re so happy we could be there to care for this
friendly and loving boy and it’ll be an incredible feeling
to see him find his forever home and go on to live a
safe, happy and healthy life.??
