In Loving Memory of Tim Bray

We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our dear friend and long-standing trustee, Tim Bray, who died peacefully on 15th January 2026, aged 79.
Tim was part of the very fabric of the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District Branch. For decades, he gave his time, energy, wisdom and unwavering support to our charity, always driven by an instinctive love for animals and to help local rescues find loving new homes.
To Tim, animal welfare wasn’t just a cause, it was a responsibility, a passion, and a real reflection of the kindness he carried through every part of his life.
Tim brought integrity and compassion to everything he did, he did it quietly and without fuss…simply because he believed it was the right thing to do!
Beyond his role as a trustee, Tim was an all-round brilliant man; generous, warm and good-hearted. He was adored by those who worked alongside him and his loss is felt profoundly across our branch and far beyond. We will miss his insight, his humour and his genuine care for both people and animals.
Tim was a devoted husband to Sue Bray, a proud father to Oliver and Sam, and a much-loved grandfather. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
In honour of Tim and his lifelong commitment to animal welfare, a collection has been made in his name for our charity – something we know he would have wanted.
Every donation made in Tim’s memory will help continue the work he cared so deeply about, including helping us complete our Really Big ReFURb, ensuring that Tim remains a part of the future for local animals in need. It will stand as a lasting tribute to the goodness he created throughout his life.
If you would like to share a message or make a donation in Tim’s memory, you can do so via his online tribute page here . Every kind word and contribution is a beautiful way to honour Tim’s life and will help us continue the work he cared so deeply about.
We adored Tim. We will remember him always for his kindness, his dedication and the enormous difference he made. His legacy lives on in every animal helped, every life improved and every act of compassion he inspired.
Thank you for everything Tim.
