Stop the press – Patch finds love after 373 days in rescue!
Patch first arrived with us in November 2023 struggling with a severe skin allergy, leaving him completely bald, sore and in pain.
Our amazing Animal Care Team has worked tirelessly with Patch to get him back to full health …along with heaps of treatment and allergy testing! However, for over year, it seemed that nobody wanted to open their heart and home to this incredible boy, perhaps because Patch looked a little different and due to his ongoing care needs, he was going to struggle to find true love. 💔
Skip forward a year, after countless newspaper and radio features, viral videos on social media and hundreds of glamorous jumper changes, we were ECSTATIC when the perfect adoption form landed in our inbox… and just like that, Patch had finally found his forever humans!
His adopter said “I came across a Patch online and something about him just drew me in! I thought, he HAS to have his forever home! I’ve had an RSPCA rescue Staffie with allergies before, who lived to be 16 years old and with a bit of extra TLC it’s easily manageable! We can’t wait to give Patch the loving home he’s waited so long for.”
No we haven’t got something in our eye and yes, we’re officially crying huge tears of happiness! 🥹We’d like to say a very special thank you to Patch’s new family for giving him his second chance at love and showing the world that even if you look a little different, there’s love out for there for you….
